Discover the breathtaking beauty of the Ouzoud Waterfalls, nestled deep within the majestic Atlas Mountains. Plunging an impressive 110 meters (360 feet) into the lush canyon below, these spectacular falls offer a refreshing and rejuvenating escape from the hustle of Marrakech. Known as one of the most scenic and romantic natural wonders in the world, Ouzoud is also famous for its resident troops of friendly Barbary macaque monkeys that love to interact with visitors.

To make the most of your day trip to Ouzoud Waterfalls, we highly recommend bringing the following 6 essential items:
Your adventure begins with a prompt pickup directly from your Marrakech hotel or the closest accessible point to your riad.
Relax in comfort as we drive 170 km through the Middle Atlas region, heading toward the province of Azilal.
Arrive at the falls and enjoy a guided walking tour. Explore the shaded paths, meet the local monkeys, and take in the panoramic views.
Savor a traditional Moroccan lunch at a local restaurant right by the water’s edge, enjoying the peaceful sound of the falls.
Meet your driver for the smooth journey back to the city, arriving late in the afternoon with a direct drop-off at your accommodation.
The drive takes about 3 hours each way (around 170 km). We make a comfortable stop along the way for coffee and restrooms to break up the journey.
Yes, but with a small note: the walk down to the falls involves stairs and natural paths. It is totally manageable at a relaxed pace, but strollers are not practical. If someone has severe knee or mobility issues, they can still enjoy the top views without walking all the way down.
Yes! During the warmer months, there are designated natural pools at the bottom where you can take a dip. If you plan to swim, don’t forget your swimwear and a towel.
Almost certainly! The Barbary macaques are wild but completely resident in the trees around the canyon. They are very used to travelers and love to come out, especially where people are walking.
