Atlas & Dunes wasn’t dreamed up in an office. It was born on the mountain passes of the High Atlas, in the dunes outside Merzouga, and around the fires of Berber camps in Agafay — the places our founders and guides have known their whole lives.
We started this company because we were tired of watching visitors get shuffled through recycled itineraries by agencies that had never set foot in the desert themselves. We wanted to offer something different: real routes, real drivers, real hospitality.
We’ve spent years building relationships with the camps, families, and villages along our routes — not just booking through them. That means a smoother trip for you, and a fairer deal for the communities we pass through.
Most of our bookings come from word of mouth. We’d rather earn a good review than spend a big marketing budget.
